Harry’s Caldecott Story
At the age of four, Harry was placed in the care of his local authority. Several foster placements broke down as Harry presented with challenging behaviours. These behaviours escalated with him making serious attempts to harm himself. To keep Harry safe, he was admitted into secure accommodation in 2019. Weekly Boarding Provision at the Caldecott School
The Caldecott School now includes residential boarding in its offer to pupils. Garden House has accommodation for up to ten young people and is located in a separate building on the main site. Pupils aged from 11-16 on admission can board for up to 38 weeks of the year, from Monday to Friday. Ofsted Outstanding Recognition
2017/18 has been a fantastic year for the Caldecott Foundation receiving recognition from Ofsted for the outstanding outcomes that we are achieving for the young people placed in our care. In Kingfishers we have been working on our SUPERHERO personalities. We have PONYGIRL, BATBOY, WOLFMAN and PUMABOY. We wrote recipes for our superheroes, came up with adjectives to describe them and superpowers using natural disasters which they had to research.
